This is a Family Favorite!!
I use my large stew pot to make this and it usually gives our family of 7 two full servings
(if you have a turkey carus or chicken carcus boil it with the chicken broth)
Start with diced onion
1-1 1/2 tsp. Garlic
a shake or two of Parsley
I add a little(1-2 tsp.) Sage
a little monteral steak seasoning
add to chicken broth
Start boiling the broth meanwhille, in a mixer combine to make the homemade egg noodles:
6 cup flour
4 egg
4 egg yolks
1/2 tsp salt
enough water to make a moderately stiff dough, mix till smooth and elastic.
roll out on a floured surface and make sure you put flour on top of the dough before you roll it up like a jelly roll and then cut with a knife into thin strips, toss and add to boiling stock, boil for 10 min.
single batch of noodles:
1-1/2 cup flour
1 egg

1/8 tsp salt
enough water to make a moderately stiff dough.
